For this doctor blade, the applicator edges are ground in 4 gap heights of 50, 100, 150 and 200 μm by default, so that a corresponding amount of theoretical layer thicknesses can be applied with one device. The Model 284 film applicator (according to BIRD) is available for six film widths from 50 to 250 mm and is resistant to corrosion.
